Little Blessings provides complimentary portrait sessions for children in the Sacramento area that have life-limiting illnesses. Formed in 2004 our group of Volunteer Professional Photographers coordinate with local hospitals to capture moments that will be remembered for a lifetime. Whether it's a newborn infant with limited time or a young child or a teenage in remission, our goal is to give these families complimentary professional memories.
Little Blessings has contracts with several local Sacramento hospitals. When a child is diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, the hospital staff will contact Little Blessings for a private portrait session. While most of our sessions are done in the hospital, some sessions are done at a child's home, outside or a photographer's studio. Sessions taken may also involve family members, but the true focus of the session is the child. Once the session is complete, the photographer sends the family a complimentary disc of images taken during the session to keep.
The photographers who volunteer for Little Blessings range from the full-time professional photographer to hobbiest. Each of these individuals donate their time and expertise to create keepsake portraits for each family. All of our photographers have been trained in the process to photograph these memories, both at the hosptial and patient level. Our group of photographers photograph each and every session with tenderness and love, knowing that these memories will remain lifetime memories of hope and courage.
